Shared Authors’ Table

About the SAT

Are you an author attending Wordbridge? Want to share your work with new readers? Take part in our Shared Authors’ Table: a space for conference attendees and presenters to display and sell their books throughout the event.

How It Works:

To participate, you must:

  1. Be a conference ticket holder OR registered as a volunteer presenter/panelist and have copies of your own books ready to sell.

Upon check-in at the table, you’ll be able to sign up for your shift. This shared model ensures everyone has the chance to display their work and connect with readers while keeping things running smoothly.

We’re thrilled to offer this opportunity to support and spotlight the amazing authors who make Wordbridge such a rich and diverse community.

The Fine Print

The Shared Authors’ Table (SAT) is open exclusively to registered attendees of WordBridge. Participants must sign up prior to the week of the Festival. No last-minute additions will be accepted. Only books may be sold at the SAT.

If a vendor such as Analog Books or Owl’s Nest is on-site, titles listed on their tables may not also be sold at the SAT.

Book Limits

Each author may display up to five titles, with a maximum of five copies per title. If inventory drops to a single copy, authors may replenish it up to the five-copy limit (noted on the forms).

Author Participation

All participating authors must work at the SAT for at least one hour, excluding setup and takedown. A volunteer schedule will be posted Saturday morning, with two people assigned per shift.

Forms & Documentation
  • Do not print double-sided. Each form goes into a separate binder.

Optional bundled pricing (e.g., a discounted rate for a book series) can be indicated on your paperwork.

Sales & Payments

There is no fee to sell at the SAT. However, Square processing fees will be deducted from sales. Authors may opt for cash-only sales, but this must be clearly indicated on their forms.

Books may not be removed from the SAT for display elsewhere during the event (e.g., for panels or readings), to ensure accurate sales tracking.

Sales will be reconciled late Sunday afternoon. Authors will confirm their inventory and sales figures. Payments will be sent via e-transfer the week following the event.

The Square device, cash box, float, and tablet are provided by a third-party and are their personal property. Experienced volunteers will handle all transactions.
